Artists Statement

I’m inspired and intrigued by emotion, science and the human body. I look for the ordinary and the extraordinary communication that happens on the internal and external landscape of the human experience. I’m inspired by nature, the colors and the light of the Sonoran Desert.  Literature and language contribute to my work regularly.  I build my paintings in thin transparent layers. I work out of my home-studio in Phoenix, Arizona.
