Some of these paintings are done in oils, on canvas with sewn edges. They are large scale of approximately 60" x 48" up to 84"x 84". When I finish a painting I then put grommets around the edges of the artwork so they can be hung simply, unframed, flat against the wall, giving the effect of a mural or a tapestry. Other paintings are oil, on stretched canvas or oil on wood panel. My home and studio reside in Phoenix, Arizona. My work is influenced by the light of the Southwest and the beauty of the Sonoran desert. A large part of my work is also influenced by my long-lived love affair with Mexico -from the culture in general, to the spiritual faith held in the hearts of the people.
